High Speed Units

While many slip ring applications, such as large, ground-based radars, call for low rotational speeds, at the other extreme there are some applications that require rotational speeds of thousands of RPM. In such an application it is very important that the brushes should always track the ring well in order to consistently pass power and data. One way of doing this is to have multiple rings/brushes per channel with the design of each brush being slightly different so that the several brushes per channel will have different mechanical resonant frequencies.
