Pan & Tilt for Targeting and Surveillance

Optical sensors are widely used in airborne and ground-based targeting and surveillance defence systems. They may operate within or beyond the human visible spectrum and include lasers.

Pandect has done many slip ring solutions for dual-axis “pan and tilt” applications and as data rates in cameras increase, it is more and more likely that our slip rings will also incorporate rotary fibre optic joints of one or multiple channels.

We are also developing solutions for higher data rates that do not need fibre optics. Video in surveillance cameras is migrating from analogue to digital today.
